The last time I made a vision board, many years ago, I glued on pictures of four of strangers I found in magazines. This probably seems bizarre to you! I did it because I wanted what they had - an intangible quality that seemed to leap off the page. Their eyes spoke of wisdom, clarity, and empathy.
They were regular people (not models or celebs), living authentically. I know this because, as well as the picture, there were articles about their lives.
I’m not sure why authenticity has become a thing in our culture other than the obvious fact that we seem to lack it. To me, it’s about a deep, inner knowing of what’s true and doing my best to live into that truth. It’s a skill we can learn that will help improve our well-being but it’s not found on Facebook or in a book.
