This essay is my contribution to THE HOPE LIBRARY, a community writing event hosted by my friend
of (isn’t that the best name for a publication?!) I encourage you to head over there to check out what many other writers had to say about a book that gave them hope.I’m a hustler of hope.
The kind of encouragement I want to peddle lives in the beating heart of my fellow humans. So, while I read fiction like a thirsty woman in the desert, to me, this is not necessarily where hope lives. The inspiration that moves me comes from non-fiction writers who call me to walk through the world in a different way either by sharing their story or offering direction. Tosha Silver is one of those writers and her book Outrageous Openness is one of my favorite books.
