I really enjoyed this piece. I appreciate how open and vulnerable you were. I appreciate how you acknowledged that there is so much we don’t know - I too feel that way. And I appreciate that you invited us to engage in that mindful exercise for ourselves. A crocodile came to me which I did not expect at all - and it said “don’t give up - keep going”

Thank you 😊

Thank you Michael, I'm glad you like the piece and I appreciate you taking the time to comment. A crocodile is so interesting...and it wants the Platypus to keep going! I will keep my eye out to see what comes of that:)

I got a big strong horse galloping around. It said, don't whisper, SHOUT! Fascinating... 💜

That IS fascinating Karen. It might be interested to next ask it what it think you should SHOUT about, unless you already know. Do you have an affinity for horses or were you surprised like I was?

Thanks so much for sharing what you saw!

I, too, struggle to write without thinking too much of the reader. This last time, I struggled so hard that I.managed to.leave out the most important part - I am the crazy over competitive attorney, not my sweet, long suffering husband. I wasn't making fun of HIM cleaning the pool, I was making fun of ME. And I reread and sanitized the thing a million times. Oy. Thank you for the timely reminder. Keep.it simple, Stupid. (Just in case it's not clear, the stupid one is ME, not you. 😘)

Ah yes, I get this Fraulein Zen! I have made mistakes like this many times myself. I look forward to reading your pool cleaning story and will head over to your newsletter as soon as I can. As usual, thanks for being here. I love it when you drop into my comments section💕

How did I miss this one? I've found sometimes I checkboxes on gmail don't uncheck themselves, and I accidentally delete a lot of emails that I meant to come back to :( Glad you reposted it on Notes!

In any event, I decided to leave this as an open question during my daily meditation, but not three deep breaths in, the image of a snake coiling around itself emerged - strange, because I'm terrified of snakes, but this one had no mouth or head, it was a single, infinity symbol - beautiful diamond pattern. It said, "Don't be afraid." 🐍

Wow Troy, this is amazing! Your symbol appeared kind of like mine did - there was no doubt. I did not have to wonder if this was my imagination or what was going on, it seemed clear. What a beautiful message from your higher power. I'm so glad you shared this with us, it's very uplifting.

Yes! Clear as day! Thanks for the exercise... Incidentally, I remembered that a very similar image lives on the Two of Coins in the Thoth tarot deck "Change" is the word... ♾️

Cue sudden intake of breath...'Don't be afraid.' of change!!! Said to the dude who already moved across the world!

Love this Donna, such a powerful, cute exercise. I got a black panther who is one of my spirit animals, so a great confirmation.

Expand full comment

I don't know much about spirit animals but it would seem to me that a black panther would be very powerful and come bearing may messages. Maybe you and your guides should write about this Louise? I'd love to hear what y'all have to say. How wonderful that who showed up was what you already carry with you, I mean, it's not surprising but it's a lovely affirmation.

It’s absolutely a beautiful confirmation Donna, I will check in with the team and see what they would like to share. Thank you 🙏

I'm doing the exercise a little later but I also have a black panther as one of my guides.

It will be interesting to see what shows up for you Tania. If you already have a black panther as your guide I'm curious if that's what comes through. I'd love it if you keep us posted!

I was expecting my thinking would get in the way since I've done this in the past. But no, I was very surprised with SWAN bringing the message of "the balance of grace and strength". Thank you Donna!

A swan!! I can see how that surprised you if one of your guides is a panther. What an amazing message Tania and thanks for sharing. It's wonderful to see you here in the comments.

This was very interesting. I cleared my mind completely and no animals came right away. And then a Giraffe arrived. Slow moving and graceful. It was absolutely surprised by this! And the message that I was hearing was reach for what you truly want and you will get there. Don't sit idle, don't sit stuck. It was inspiring and filled me with hope. - Thank you, Michelle

This is beautiful Michelle, thank you so much for sharing. I love the giraffe took her time to show up and moved with such gentleness. It's interesting how surprising this exercise can be, which is why it will likely stick with us. I am glad you found it as useful as I did.

I don't know about a spirit animal, but what came to mind was a deer. To me, they are gentle and tough , graceful and vigilant.

Isn't it interesting how it seems to fit. That describes you!

Deers seem to make it, even in a somewhat hostile environment. We have maaaaaany deers around our place and sometimes it seems like they must struggle to find their place in 'society' as they are pushed out of the forest and pushed out of the town.

Gentle, touch, graceful, vigilant, own it Janice!
