It sucks when we have to do stuff we don't want to do
Is it possible to make these things MATTER?
Doesn’t it suck when we have to do stuff we don’t want to do? I sure don’t love it. When there’s a lot of undesirable stuff requiring our attention it takes more of our brainpower and energy, which means we can start to disconnect and turn away from our highest self. This makes the brain drain much worse and can be exhausting.
It’s a tricky puzzle – how to escape the inescapable of adulting. No matter what color of rose I tint my glasses I can’t quite see an adult world where there isn’t a teensy bit of this requirement – not all tasks hit the fun or soul-enrichment zone.
The question I’m asking myself is what if I can stretch my inner resources to make it, this thing I don’t want to do, matter? To make it sacred. Imagine if we got savvy enough (can I call surrendering, and allowing, being savvy?) that we could walk gently through our days with the understanding that no matter what we are tasked with we could accomplish it from a place of softness, and wh…
