I read your Cave of the Heart contribution, Donna - deep wisdom as always. And regarding this moment in time - the world holds its breath, but we can't just stop breathing - we must keep returning to the work of compassion, beauty and love, even when (as now) it is difficult.

Thank you Troy. It's hard to know what to do or say and you summed it up perfectly.

Thanks Troy. If we took a moment and traced a Grandparent's life, we would find that the challenges were as great - just different. As an example: My Grandma went through the Irish famine and depression. Moved to Glasgow as a toddler with many siblings - lost 3 of those siblings to childhood diseases we don't even think about any more. Lost a brother in the second world war. Worked in a bomb factory in London during while my other Grandma worked in a parachute company in Germany. Moved to Toronto and worked in a TB hospital and then took the train with a friend to Sask. Got married to a stern but good man in a town of 40 people and lived in a sod hut and raised 3 children through the dirty 30's. She never saw her family again until she met a sister after 42 years....and on it goes. She didn't stop breathing. My Grandma lived to be 97 years old and looked back on her life as a life well lived.

Each moment in time has its challenges, these ones seem particularly intense.

I feel your sentiment Donna and echo that it can feel that individually it's difficult to make any difference at all. As a collective with a shared wanting, hope and desire for a peaceful resolution we can shine a light of comfort and courage and lift others out of the darkness. Thank you for being the light. 🙏

Thank you Louise, you summed it up perfectly. Can it really make a difference if the individual does the work to become whole, will it help the collective? I believe it will and there is no other way. The energy of love and compassion is contagious and we must hold on to that.❤

Every day I wake up and I feel disturbed by the state of the world right now. Is this what humanity has come to? Are we really that distant from love and empathy? But then I am reminded that even if whatever I do may not have a significant impact, small efforts do compound. I will continue to show up and remind others that goodness still exists in this world and that we can still navigate through this darkness together. And I appreciate you for doing the same.

Much love, xx

I know what you mean Mansi. My mind and heart literally cannot comprehend what is in the minds and hearts of people making the decision to invoke violence on innocent people. How can we go on in the face of it? One foot in front of the other, trusting that the energies of the individual can influence the whole for the good. We must move forward in love.

Well said. Many people do indeed feel that their individual actions and choices aren't worth it at all in terms of bringing about meaningful change or creating an impact, cause it seems too small and insignificant.

But it's crucial to realize that if enough people choose to act, then their individual actions will definitely collectively lead to something much larger, greater and significant enough to bring about actual change.

And similar to your point, our choices do indeed create a ripple effect which in turn influences and inspires others. All this definitely makes it worth it for each of us to believe in ourselves and act.

Raveen, thank you so much for being here and dropping into the comments section! I love your last line that it is worth it for us to believe in ourselves and act. Sometimes we must believe in ourselves and then act, and other times perhaps we must act, and the belief in ourselves will grow. Either way, it is an excellent point!

Last night I listened to an interview with a women who is a medical doctor and is 102 years old! Her husband divorced her at 70. Big change. She wrote her first book at the age of 92! She has a 10 year plan. She is blind. She is beyond inspiring.

A few big take-a-ways. People are doing bad things out there rather than there are bad people. Be grateful for the journey of life. We are in a real time movie and the plot is dense. Rise up and be the heroine when you can and don't be afraid to fix another woman's crooked "crown" without having to tell her that it is crooked.

Thanks for your post, Donna. You are keeping us all on our toes and deeply contemplative.

I can imagine listening to that woman helps one gain perspective. People do amazing things! I agree that people do bad things and the movie plot is dense! I love that you called me contemplative, to me that is a compliment of the highest order and I appreciate it😘

Beautiful, Donna, both this post and the Cave of the Heart--there is a softness and vulnerability here that seems to come from the inner knowing you speak of. Thank you for sharing “from my heart to my reader’s hearts.” (I believe those were the words you wrote.)

Thank you Renee. Now, more than ever, we must live from our heart's center. It's interesting you use the words softness and vulnerability. I have never thought of softness in this context and it's feeling good. I'm going to have a think on that word!

Donna, softness here in the sense of the heart open--receiving and giving, so freely.

That was wonderful, Donna! Great questions and amazing answers. I loved that you knew about your own two-door process. I have to admit that I've never paid attention to what my process is around getting an idea for a new project. But now I'm really excited to learn that about myself. Thank you for inspiring me as always! 🤗♥️

Thanks Jenna. This project had me thinking in ways I hadn't previously considered, which was very useful! I have long known this is how it goes for me, Door 1 or 2, and I find it helpful because I am able to recognize what's going on much quicker. I believe this helps lower the resistance some of the time. I appreciate you being here with me💗
